Hello,Here we are — July! Time is flying by quickly for me. I’m trying to finish what I call my “little book” in time for the holidays. Hopefully it will make a ”purrfect” gift for cat lovers. Excuse the bad pun.I hope my column For What It's Worth will be taken seriously. Blue skies and white billowy clouds are what make a splendid summer day. Seeing it disappear is not the world we want our children to know.Have a happy, safe Fourth of July! See you in August.Cheers!

Orange, smokey skies in the Northeast including N.Y.C. Is this air pollution different? Yes, it is. Air pollution in Asian cities and our own L.A. has been created by local conditions. California, countries abroad, now Canada on fire should wake us up as to what is happening to our climate. There are no safe places. It’s a bit late, but never too late to see some real action on climate. At best, it will get worse more slowly. For those who doubt, look up. The future has begun. —N. Hungerford
