NATIONAL PET DAY — founded in 2006 to celebrate the joy pets bring to our lives.
The “motto” of this holiday: “DON’T SHOP!” “ADOPT!”
While we give our pets some “extra little love” on their day, be mindful of the many pets waiting in shelters for their new home.
Don’t have a pet right now? Perhaps make a little time to visit your local shelter and give a lonely pet a little deserved love.
Oh, pets don’t have to be “furry friends.” Fish, birds, turtles, and such, make wonderful companions as well.
